Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
52 verses, revealed in Mecca after Kingship (Al-Mulk) before The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Inevitable! (Day of Judgment). (1) and what is the Resurrection Verifier? (2) And what do you know what that indubitable event is? (3) The Thamud and 'Ad denied the consequential calamity. (4) As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the lightning. (5) and the 'Ad were destroyed by a furious wind (6) Which Allah imposed on them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so that you could see men lying overthrown (destroyed), as if they were hollow trunks of date-palms! (7) Beholdest thou any of them remaining? (8) And Firaun, and those before him, and the dwellings that were inverted and thrown, had brought error. (9) And they disobeyed the Apostle of their Lord, so He punished them with a vehement punishment. (10) Surely We bore you up in the ship when the water rose high, (11) That We might make it a memorial for you, and that remembering ears (that heard the story) might remember. (12) So, when the Trumpet is blown with a single blast (13) And the earth with the mountains shall be lifted up and crushed with one crash, (14) on that Day shall that indubitable event come to pass; (15) And the heaven shall be rent in sunder, it on that Day shall be frail. (16) And the angels shall be on the sides thereof; and above them eight shall bear on that day your Lord's power. (17) On that Day you will be brought to judgement and none of your secrets will remain hidden. (18) Then, he who is given his book in his right hand will say: 'Here, take and read my book! (19) “I was certain that I will confront my account.” (20) so he will live in a state of Bliss (21) in a lofty garden, (22) The Fruits whereof (will hang in bunches) low and near. (23) Eat and drink with benefit for that which ye sent on beforehand in days past. (24) But as for him who is given his record in his left hand, he will say: Oh, would that I had not been given my book (25) Nor known whatever was my reckoning! (26) I wish death had put an end to me. (27) My wealth hath not availed me, (28) and our belief has destroyed us". (29) Lay hold on him, then put a chain on him, (30) and then roast him in Hell, (31) Then fasten him with a chain seventy cubits long: (32) He did not believe in Allah, the Great, (33) Nor urged others to feed the poor. (34) “So he does not have any friend here this day.” (35) Nor any food except from the discharge of wounds; (36) which only the sinners will eat.” (37)
