۞ THE CONCRETE REALITY. (1) And what is that indubitable event? (2) What do you comprehend by the concrete reality? (3) Thamood and Aad belied the Clatterer. (4) Thamood, they were destroyed by the violent shout (of Gabriel), (5) And as for 'Ad, they were destroyed by a furious violent wind; (6) To which He subjected them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so that thou mightest have seen men during it lying prostrate, as though they were stumps of palms ruined. (7) Can you see any remnant of them now? (8) And there came Pharaoh and those before him and the overturned cities with sin. (9) And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, so He seized them with a seizure exceeding [in severity]. (10) We, when the water (of Noah's Flood) overflowed beyond its limits, carried you (mankind), in the floating (Ark), (11) as a lesson for you, but only attentive ears will retain it. (12) So, when the Trumpet is blown with a single blast (13) And the earth and the mountains are borne away and crushed with a single crushing. (14) On that Day will come what is to come. (15) and heaven shall be split, for upon that day it shall be very frail, (16) and will turn frail, losing all force. The angels will be around the heavens and on that day eight of them will carry the Throne of your Lord above all the creatures. (17) The Day whereon ye shall be mustered nothing hidden by you shall be hidden. (18) Then he who is given his record in his right hand will exclaim, "Here is my record, read it. (19) Surely I knew that I shall meet my account. (20) Then he shall be in a life well-pleasing (21) in a lofty paradise, (22) its clusters nigh to gather. (23) 'Eat and drink with wholesome appetite for that you did long ago, in the days gone by.' (24) And whoever is given his book in his left hand he will say, “Alas, if only my account were not given to me!” (25) and neither known this my account! (26) How I wish my death had ended all. (27) My wealth has been of no use to me. (28) Vanished has my power from me." (29) 'Take him, and fetter him, (30) Then cast him to be burnt in Hell; (31) Then thrust him into a chain the length of which is seventy cubits. (32) “Indeed he refused to accept faith in Allah, the Greatest.” (33) nor would he urge the feeding of the poor. (34) so today he has no friend here, (35) Nor any food except from the discharge of wounds; (36) “Which none except the guilty shall eat.” (37)
