Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
52 verses, revealed in Mecca after Kingship (Al-Mulk) before The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Inevitable Hour! (1) What is the Sure Reality? (2) What makes you to know what the Resurrection Verifier is? (3) Thamud and 'Ad people denied the Qari'ah [the striking Hour (of Judgement)]! (4) The Thamuds were destroyed by a violent blast of sound. (5) and the 'Ad were destroyed by a furious wind (6) violent that He compelled against them seven nights and eight days, uninterruptedly, and thou mightest see the people laid prostrate in it as if they were the stumps of fallen down palm-trees. (7) Can you see any of their survivors? (8) And Pharaoh and those before him, and the communities that were destroyed, brought error, (9) And they disobeyed their Lord's Messenger, so He punished them with a strong punishment. (10) Verily We! when the water rose, We bare you upon the traversing ark. (11) In order to make it a warning for you, and that the ear retentive may preserve it. (12) And when the trumpet shall sound one blast (13) and the earth and the mountains are lifted up and then crushed with a single blow, (14) then, on that day, the Terror shall come to pass, (15) The sky will cleave asunder on that day and fall to pieces. (16) On its fringes will be angels, eight of them, bearing their Lord's throne aloft. (17) That Day, you will be exhibited [for judgement]; not hidden among you is anything concealed. (18) Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand, he will say: Lo! read my book: (19) Surely I knew that I should have to meet my reckoning. (20) Then he will be in blissful state (21) In an elevated garden, (22) The fruits of which are near at hand: (23) Eat and drink pleasantly for what you did beforehand in the days gone by. (24) But as for him who is given his book in his left hand, he shall say, 'Would that I had not been given my book (25) And knew not what my reckoning! (26) I wish my death had been the decisive one. (27) My wealth has not availed me. (28) and my authority has vanished.” (29) (It will be said): "Seize him and fetter him, (30) Then throw him in the blazing Fire. (31) And then insert him in a chain whereof the length is seventy cubits. (32) He would not believe in Allah, the Most Great; (33) Nor did he encourage the feeding of the poor. (34) and so, no friend has here today, (35) nor any food save the filth (36) which no one will eat except the sinners. (37)
