In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ HALLOWED be He in whose hand all dominion rests, since He has the power to will anything: 1 Who hath created death and life that He might prove you, as to which of you is excellent in work. And He is the Mighty, the Forgiver. 2 who created the seven heavens, one above the other. You cannot see any inconsistency in the creation of the Merciful. Return your gaze, do you see any crack! 3 Then look again and yet again, your sight will return to you in a state of humiliation and worn out. 4 And indeed, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with lights, and have made them the object of futile guesses for the evil ones [from among men]: and for them have We readied suffering through a blazing flame 5 For those who believe not in their Lord there is the punishment of Hell; and what a wretched destination 6 When they are cast into it they shall hear it sighing, while it boils 7 As though it would burst with fury. Every time a crowd is thrown into it, its wardens will ask: "Did no warner come to you?" 8 They say, 'Yes indeed, a warner came to us; but we cried lies, saying, "God has not sent down anything; you are only in great error. 9 And they shall say: Had we but listened or pondered, we should not have been among the inmates of the burning fire. 10 Thus will they come to realize their sins: but [by that time,] remote will have become all good from those who are destined for the blazing flame. 11 For those who fear their Lord in secret is forgiveness and a great reward. 12 And conceal your speech or publicize it; indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts. 13 Shall He who has created (all things) not know? He is the Subtle, the Aware. 14
