No affliction befalls, except it be by the leave of God. Whosoever believes in God, He will guide his heart. And God has knowledge of everything. (11) And obey Allah and obey His Noble Messenger; then if you turn away, know that the duty upon Our Noble Messenger is only to plainly convey. (12) Allah! There is no god but He: and on Allah, therefore, let the Believers put their trust. (13) O believers, some of your spouses and children are your enemies, so beware of them! Yet if you forbear, overlook, and forgive, God is indeed forgiving and kind. (14) Your wealth and your children are only a trial; God's reward is great: (15) Therefore be careful of (your duty to) Allah as much as you can, and hear and obey and spend, it is better for your souls; and whoever is saved from the greediness of his soul, these it is that are the successful. (16) If you lend a goodly loan to God, He will double it for you, and forgive you. God knows the worth of good deeds and is clement, (17) Knower of what is open, Exalted in Might, Full of Wisdom. (18)
