Mutual Blaming (Al-Taghaabun)
18 verses, revealed in Medina after Prohibition (Al-Tahreem) before The Column (Al-Suff)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
ALL THAT IS in the heavens and all that is on earth extols God's limitless glory: His is all dominion, and to Him all praise is due; and He has the power to will anything. (1) He it is Who created you, but one of you is an unbeliever and another of you is a believer; and Allah sees what you do. (2) He created the heavens and the earth in truth and He shaped you and gave you good shapes. To Him is the arrival. (3) He knows all that is in the heavens and on earth; and He knows all that you keep secret as well as all that you bring into the open: for God has full knowledge of what is in the hearts [of men]. (4) Have you not heard about those who denied the truth before you and tasted the evil consequences of their conduct? They will have a painful punishment. (5) That is because, when their Messengers came to them with clear proofs they said: 'Shall humans be our guides' They disbelieved and turned away, but Allah was not in need (of them). Allah is the Rich and the Praised. (6) The unbelievers think that they will never be raised up. Say: 'By my Lord, yes indeed, you shall assuredly be raised up! Then you shall be told of all that you have done. That is easy for Allah' (7) Thus, have faith in God, His Messenger and the Light which We have revealed. God is Well-Aware of what you do. (8) On the day when We shall gather you all together (for the Day of Judgment), all cheating will be exposed. Those who believe in God and act righteously will receive forgiveness for their sins. They will be admitted into Paradise wherein streams flow and they will live forever. This certainly is the greatest triumph. (9) But those who denied the truth and rejected Our signs shall be the inmates of the Fire, there to remain -- what an evil destination! (10)
