Mutual Blaming (Al-Taghaabun)
18 verses, revealed in Medina after Prohibition (Al-Tahreem) before The Column (Al-Suff)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth is exalting Allah. To Him belongs dominion, and to Him belongs [all] praise, and He is over all things competent. (1) He it is Who created you, then some of you are disbelievers and some of you are believers. And Allah is All-Seer of what you do. (2) He created the heavens and the earth for a purpose. He formed you and gave you the best of forms. To Him you shall all return. (3) He knows whatever is in the heavens and the earth. He knows all that you conceal and all that you reveal. God is aware of what is in your hearts. (4) Has not the story reached you, of those who rejected Faith aforetime? So they tasted the evil result of their conduct; and they had a grievous Penalty. (5) this, because time and again there came unto them their apostles with all evidence of the truth, but they [always] replied, "Shall mere mortal men be our guides?" And so they denied the truth and turned away. But God was not in need [of them]: for God is self-sufficient, ever to be praised. (6) The unbelievers assert that they will never be raised up. Say: 'Yes indeed, by my Lord! You shall be raised up, then you shall be told the things you did. That is easy for God.' (7) So believe in Allah and His messenger and the light which We have revealed. And Allah is Informed of what ye do. (8) When He shall gather you all for the Day of Gathering, that will be the Day of loss and gain; and whoever believes in God and does good deeds shall be forgiven their sins and admitted to Gardens through which rivers flow, where they shall dwell forever. That is the supreme triumph. (9) And they who disbelieve and belie Our Signs! those shall be fellows of the Fire, as abiders therein; a hapless destination. (10)
