۞ So I swear by the setting places of the stars. 75 And indeed, it is an oath - if you could know - [most] great. 76 Most surely it is an honored Quran, 77 In a Book well-guarded (with Allah in the heaven i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 78 no one can touch it except the purified ones. 79 A revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 Is it this discourse that ye hold lightly? 81 Would you reject the sustenance that you receive rather than give thanks? 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 And you wait for the moment (of death), 84 We are closer to him than you, even though you cannot see? 85 Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us), 86 That you send it (not) back-- if you are truthful? 87 (If a dying soul) is of those near to God, 88 there shall be calmness and ease, a Garden of Delight. 89 If it is of the people of the right hand, 90 it will be with the people of the right hand, living in peace and security. 91 But if he (the dying person) be of the denying (of the Resurrection), the erring (away from the Right Path of Islamic Monotheism), 92 a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,] 93 And the roasting in Hell. 94 Verily, this! This is an absolute Truth with certainty. 95 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 96
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah). Sent down in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
