The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ The Beneficent (God) (1) has imparted this Qur'an [unto man]. (2) Has created Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) as the soul of mankind. (3) and He has taught him the Explanation. (4) The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed; (5) [before Him] prostrate themselves the stars and the trees. (6) And the sky He hath uplifted; and He hath set the measure, (7) so that you should not transgress the measure. (8) But observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof. (9) He spread out the earth for the people. (10) Therein are fruit and palm-trees sheathed. (11) Also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-smelling plants. (12) Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord, will ye twain belie? (13) He created man from clay like [that of] pottery. (14) whereas the invisible beings He has created out of a confusing flame of fire. (15) Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain you men and jinn then deny? (16) (He is) Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests: (17) Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? (18) He has made the two oceans meet each other, (19) There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). (20) Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? (21) From them come forth the pearl and the coral. (22) How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? (23) By His command, the ships with raised masts sail on the sea like mountains. (24) How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? (25)
