Have you then seen him who turns his back? (33) and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? (34) Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? (35) Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, (36) And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? (37) that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; (38) nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. (39) and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] (40) then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment (41) that all things in the end shall return to God; (42) And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; (43) and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; (44) That He created pairs, male and female, (45) From a drop of semen when emitted; (46) And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; (47) And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. (48) That He is the Lord of Sirius; (49) And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. (50) Thamud, (51) and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent (52) and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] (53) So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). (54) Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? (55) He who warns you is one of the warners of old. (56) The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. (57) No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. (58) Do you then marvel at this discourse, (59) And you laugh at it and weep not, (60) Indulging in pleasantries? (61) So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ (62)
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
