Therefore proclaim thou the praises (of thy Lord): for by the Grace of thy Lord, thou art no (vulgar) soothsayer, nor art thou one possessed. (29) Or do they say: "[He is but] a poet - let us wait what time will do unto him"? (30) Say thou: "Wait, [then,] hopefully; behold, I, too, shall hopefully wait with you!" (31) Do their minds command them this [i.e. to tell a lie against you (Muhammad SAW)] or are they people exceeding the bounds (i.e. from Belief in Allah to disbelief). (32) Or do they say: "He (Muhammad SAW) has forged it (this Quran)?" Nay! They believe not! (33) Let them produce a phrase like it, if what they say is true! (34) Or were they created without there being anything, or are they the creators? (35) Have they created the heavens and the earth? In fact, they have no strong faith. (36) Or have they the depositories [containing the provision] of your Lord? Or are they the controllers [of them]? (37) Or have they the means by which they listen? Then let their listener bring a clear authority. (38) Or hath He daughters whereas ye have sons? (39) Or is it that you ask of them any recompense so that they should fear to be weighed down under the burden of debt? (40) Or is it that they have access to (the Truths in) the realm beyond sense-perception which they are writing down? (41) Or do they intend a plot (against thee)? But those who defy Allah are themselves involved in a Plot! (42) Is theirs a god beside Allah? Hallowed be Allah from that which they associate! (43) (So obstinate are they that) even if they were to see some fragments of the sky falling down they would still say: “It is only a mass of cloud.” (44) Leave them then till they meet that day of theirs wherein they shall be made to swoon (with terror): (45) A day on which their scheming will not benefit them at all, nor will they be helped. (46) But, verily, for those who are bent on doing evil, there is suffering in store [even] closer at hand than that [supreme suffering in the hereafter]: but most of them are not aware of it. (47) Now await in patience the command of thy Lord: for verily thou art in Our eyes: and celebrate the praises of thy Lord the while thou standest forth, (48) And in the night-time also hymn His praise, and at the setting of the stars. (49)
Almighty God's Truth.
