Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the Mount Sinai, (1) By a Decree inscribed (2) On a parchment scroll unrolled, (3) Consider the long-enduring house [of worship]! (4) and the uplifted roof (5) and by the swelling sea: (6) the torment of your Lord will inevitably take place (7) Of it there is no averter. (8) On the day when the heaven shall move from side to side (9) and the mountains move, moving. (10) woe that day unto those that cry lies, (11) Those who are playing in pursuits. (12) The day when they are thrust with a (disdainful) thrust, into the fire of hell (13) This is the Fire which you used to belie. (14) "Is this then a fake, or is it ye that do not see? (15) "Burn ye therein: the same is it to you whether ye bear it with patience, or not: Ye but receive the recompense of your (own) deeds." (16) Verily the God-fearing will be in Gardens and Delight. (17) rejoicing in all their Lord has given them, and their Lord will guard them against the punishment of Hell. (18) “Eat and drink with pleasure, a reward for what you used to do.” (19) They will recline on couches arranged in rows and We shall couple them with maidens with large, lovely eyes. (20) We shall unite the believers with those descendants of theirs who followed them in their faith, and shall not deny them any part of the reward for their good deeds. Every person is pledged to what he did. (21) And We shall increasingly give them fruit and meat such as they desire. (22) They shall there exchange, one with another, a (loving) cup free of frivolity, free of all taint of ill. (23) ۞ Youths as fair as hidden pearls will be set apart to wait upon them; they will be running to and fro to serve them. (24) They advance one upon another, asking each other questions. (25) They say, 'We were before among our people, ever going in fear, (26) So Allah conferred favor upon us and protected us from the punishment of the Scorching Fire. (27) “Indeed we used to worship Him in our previous life; indeed He only is the Benign, the Most Merciful.” (28)
