By the Mount (1) And a Scripture inscribed (2) On an open record. (3) by the much-frequented House, (4) and by the lofty vault of the sky, (5) and by the swelling ocean, (6) Lo! the doom of thy Lord will surely come to pass; (7) There shall be none to avert it; (8) On the day when the heaven shall move from side to side (9) and the mountains are in motion, (10) So on that day, ruin is for those who deny. (11) Those who in wading sport themselves. (12) A day when they will be pushed, forcibly shoved towards the fire of hell. (13) (And it is said unto them): This is the Fire which ye were wont to deny. (14) "Is this then a fake, or is it ye that do not see? (15) Roast therein; endure it or endure it not, thereof it is equal unto you. Ye are only being requited for that which ye have been working. (16) Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and bliss (17) Enjoying what their Lord has given them, and their Lord protected them from the punishment of Hellfire. (18) 'Eat and drink, with wholesome appetite, for that you were working. (19) reclining on couches [of happiness] ranged in rows!" And [in that paradise] We shall mate them with companions pure, most beautiful of eye. (20) And those who believe and whose offspring follow them in Faith, to them shall We join their offspring, and We shall not decrease the reward of their deeds in anything. Every person is a pledge for that which he has earned. (21) We shall give them fruits and meat as they desire. (22) They will exchange cups of wine free of (incitement to) pleasantry or sin. (23) ۞ There will circulate among them [servant] boys [especially] for them, as if they were pearls well-protected. (24) And they will advance unto each other asking questions. (25) Saying: Surely we feared before on account of our families: (26) Wherefore Allah hath obliged us, and hath protected us from the torment of the Scorch. (27) Formerly we had always prayed to Him. Surely He is Most Benign, Most Compassionate.” (28)
