Hizb 53
Juz 27
Did the news of Ibrahim’s honourable guests reach you (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him)? (24) When they came to him saying, "Peace be with you," he replied to their greeting in the same manner and said to himself, "These are a strange people". (25) Then he turned aside to his family secretly and brought a fat (roasted) calf, (26) and placed it before them. "Will you not eat?" he said, (27) He began to feel afraid. They said, "Do not be afraid," and then gave him the glad news of the birth of a knowledgeable son. (28) Then came forward his wife, clamouring, and she smote her face, and said, 'An old woman, barren!' (29) They said: Even so saith thy Lord. Lo! He is the Wise, the Knower. (30) ۞ [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Then for what purpose you have come, O Messengers?" (31) They replied, "We have been sent to a sinful people, (32) to bring down upon them showers of marked lumps of clayy. (33) Sent forth from your Lord for the extravagant. (34) We saved all the faithful in the town. (35) But We did not find therein save a (single) house of those who submitted (the Muslims). (36) We left a sign in this for those who fear the grievous punishment, (37) And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. (38) In response, he turned away along with his army and said, “He is a magician or a madman.” (39) Then We laid hold of him and his hosts and flung them into the sea, and he was reproachable. (40) There is also a Sign for you in (the story of) Ad, when We let loose upon them an ominous wind (41) that left nothing that it came upon without reducing it to rubble. (42) And in the Thamud (was another Sign): Behold, they were told, "Enjoy (your brief day) for a little while!" (43) Then they turned in disdain from the commandment of their Lord, and the thunderbolt took them and they themselves beholding (44) they could not stand up again, nor could they defend themselves. (45) And before them, We destroyed the people of Nooh; they were indeed a sinning nation. (46)
