Hizb 53
Juz 27
Did the news of Ibrahim’s honourable guests reach you (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him)? (24) When those [heavenly messengers] came unto him and bade him peace, he answered, "[And upon you be] peace!" - [saying to himself,] "They are strangers." (25) Then he turned away privately unto his household, and brought a calf fatted. (26) and he laid it before them saying, 'Will you not eat?' (27) Then he became afraid of them. They said: “Fear not,” and announced to him the good news of (the birth of) a boy endowed with knowledge. (28) Then his wife came forward with a loud voice, she smote her face, and said: "A barren old woman!" (29) They said, "Even so has thy Lord spoken: and He is full of Wisdom and Knowledge." (30) ۞ (Abraham) said: "And what, O ye Messengers, is your errand (now)?" (31) They answered: "Behold, we have been sent unto a people lost in sin, (32) To send down upon them stones of clay, (33) marked by your Lord upon those who go beyond the limits.” (34) So We removed the people who had faith, from that town. (35) But We found not there any household of the Muslims except one [i.e. Lout (Lot) and his two daughters]. (36) We left therein evidence for those who fear the painful torment. (37) And in Moses (was another Sign): Behold, We sent him to Pharaoh, with authority manifest. (38) But he turned to his counsellors, and said: "He is a magician or lunatic." (39) We seized him and his hosts, and cast them all into the sea: and [none but Pharaoh] himself was to blame [for what happened]. (40) And in (the tribe of) A'ad (there is a portent) when we sent the fatal wind against them. (41) It did not leave aught on which it blew, but it made it like ashes. (42) And in Samood: When it was said to them: Enjoy yourselves for a while. (43) Then they turned in disdain from the commandment of their Lord, and the thunderbolt took them and they themselves beholding (44) And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves. (45) And [We destroyed] the people of Noah before; indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient. (46)
