Hizb 53
Juz 27
Has the story reached you, of the honoured guests [three angels; Jibrael (Gabriel) along with another two] of Ibrahim (Abraham)? (24) When those [heavenly messengers] came unto him and bade him peace, he answered, "[And upon you be] peace!" - [saying to himself,] "They are strangers." (25) Then he turned to his household, so brought out a roasted calf [as the property of Ibrahim (Abraham) was mainly cows]. (26) and placed it before them, saying, "Will you not eat?" (27) He felt afraid of them; but they said: "Have no fear," and gave him the good news of a wise son. (28) Then his wife came forward, crying and beating her brow. She said, "I am surely a barren, old woman." (29) They said: “So has your Lord said (that you shall have a boy). Surely He is Most Wise, All-Knowing.” (30) ۞ He said: What is your affair then, O apostles! (31) They said, "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin;- (32) To send down upon them stones of baked clay. (33) "Marked as from thy Lord for those who trespass beyond bounds." (34) So We evacuated everyone who was a believer there, (35) And We found not therein more than one house of the Muslims. (36) We left therein evidence for those who fear the painful torment. (37) And in Musa (Moses) (too, there is a sign). When We sent him to Fir'aun (Pharaoh) with a manifest authority. (38) In response, he turned away along with his army and said, “He is a magician or a madman.” (39) So We took him and his hosts, and dumped them into the sea, while he was to be blamed. (40) There is another sign in the [tribe of] 'Ad, when We sent against them a life-destroying wind (41) It spared nothing that it reached, but blew it into broken spreads of rotten ruins. (42) And in Thamud, when We said to them: "Enjoy yourselves for a while;" (43) But they brazenly disobeyed their Lord's command, and then a sudden chastisement overtook them while they looked on. (44) Then they could not even stand (on their feet), nor could they help themselves. (45) (So had We destroyed) the people of Noah before them: They were surely a sinful people. (46)
