Have you heard the story of Abraham's honored guests? (24) When they came to him, they said: "Peace." He answered: "Peace." They were a people he did not recognise. (25) Then he went to his home so he brought a healthy calf. (26) He then presented it before them and said, “Do you not eat?” (27) So he conceived in his mind a fear on account of them. They said: Fear not. And they gave him the good news of a boy possessing knowledge. (28) Then his wife came forward, crying and beating her brow. She said, "I am surely a barren, old woman." (29) They said: “So has your Lord said (that you shall have a boy). Surely He is Most Wise, All-Knowing.” (30) ۞ Abraham said: “Envoys (of Allah), what is your errand?” (31) They said, “We have been sent towards a guilty nation.” (32) To send down upon them stones of clay, (33) marked by your Lord for the sinful' (34) Then we brought forth such believers as were there. (35) but We found not therein except one house of those that have surrendered themselves. (36) And We left behind therein a portent for those who fear a painful doom. (37) And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. (38) but he turned his back, with his court, saying, 'A sorcerer, or a man possessed!' (39) We therefore seized him and his army and threw them into the sea, while he was blaming himself. (40) There is also evidence of the Truth in the story of Ad whom We struck with a violent wind (41) It left nothing whatever that it came up against, but reduced it to ruin and rottenness. (42) And in Thamud, when We said to them: "Enjoy yourselves for a while;" (43) But they rebelled against their Lord's decree, and so the thunderbolt overtook them even while they gazed; (44) for they were unable even to rise, and could not defend themselves. (45) (So were) the people of Nuh (Noah) before them. Verily, they were a people who were Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). (46)
