Hath there come unto thee the story of Ibrahim's honoured guests? 24 When they came in unto him and said: peace! he said: peace! people unknown. 25 Then he turned quickly to his household, brought out a fatted calf, 26 He then presented it before them and said, “Do you not eat?” 27 (When they did not eat), He conceived a fear of them. They said, "Fear not," and they gave him glad tidings of a son endowed with knowledge. 28 Then his wife came forward, making moan, and smote her face, and cried: A barren old woman! 29 They said, "Thus has said your Lord; indeed, He is the Wise, the Knowing." 30 ۞ (Abraham) said: And (afterward) what is your errand, O ye sent (from Allah)? 31 They replied: 'We are sent to a sinful nation, 32 "To bring on, on them, (a shower of) stones of clay (brimstone), 33 "Marked as from thy Lord for those who trespass beyond bounds." 34 Then We evacuated those of the Believers who were there, 35 but We found not therein except one house of those that have surrendered themselves. 36 and left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. 37 There is another sign in Moses: We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. 38 But he turned his back, he and his courtiers, and said, "This is a sorcerer or a madman." 39 We therefore seized him and his army and threw them into the sea, while he was blaming himself. 40 There is also a Sign for you in (the story of) Ad, when We let loose upon them an ominous wind 41 It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins. 42 And in Samood: When it was said to them: Enjoy yourselves for a while. 43 But they rebelled against the command of their Lord. So the thunderbolt overtook them while they looked on: 44 And neither stand up nor defend themselves. 45 (So were) the people of Nuh (Noah) before them. Verily, they were a people who were Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). 46
