Hizb 53
Juz 27
Hath there come unto thee the story of Ibrahim's honoured guests? (24) When they came to him they said, "Peace!" He answered, "Peace!" [saying to himself]. "They are strangers." (25) Then he turned away privately unto his household, and brought a calf fatted. (26) and he laid it before them saying, 'Will you not eat?' (27) So he conceived in his mind a fear on account of them. They said: Fear not. And they gave him the good news of a boy possessing knowledge. (28) Then his wife came forward with a loud voice, she smote her face, and said: "A barren old woman!" (29) They said: Thus says your Lord: Surely He is the Wise, the Knowing. (30) ۞ Abraham asked, "What is your errand, O messengers?" (31) They said: "We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disbelievers in Allah); (32) That we may send down upon them stones of baked clay. (33) Marked by your Lord for the Musrifun (polytheists, criminals, sinners those who trespass Allah's set limits in evil-doings by committing great sins). (34) So We brought the believers out of that they were in. (35) for apart from one [single] house We did not find there any who had surrendered themselves to Us. (36) And We kept a sign remaining in it, for those who fear the painful punishment. (37) And in Musa: When We sent him to Firon with clear authority. (38) But he turned to his counsellors, and said: "He is a magician or lunatic." (39) So We seized him and his hosts and cast them into the sea. Indeed, he was blameworthy. (40) And also in Ad, when We loosed against them the withering wind (41) It left not aught whereon it came but it made it as matter decayed. (42) And in Thamud's also was a lesson, when it was said unto them: enjoy yourselves for a season. (43) Then they disdained the command of their Lord; wherefore the bolt laid hold of them even while they looked on. (44) They were unable even to stand up or protect themselves. (45) Before all these We destroyed the people of Noah: they were a wicked people. (46)
