Hizb 53
Juz 27
Has the story of Abraham's honoured guests come to you? (24) Behold, they entered his presence, and said: "Peace!" He said, "Peace!" (and thought, "These seem) unusual people." (25) Then he turned quickly to his household, brought out a fatted calf, (26) And he set it before them, saying: Will ye not eat? (27) Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: Fear not! and gave him tidings of (the birth of) a wise son. (28) And his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said, "[I am] a barren old woman!" (29) They said: "Even so says your Lord. Verily, He is the All-Wise, the All-Knower." (30) ۞ [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Then for what purpose you have come, O Messengers?" (31) They said: Surely we are sent to a guilty people, (32) to loose upon them stones of clay (33) marked by your Lord upon those who go beyond the limits.” (34) So We evacuated everyone who was a believer there, (35) And We found not within them other than a [single] house of Muslims. (36) We left a sign in this for those who fear the grievous punishment, (37) In Moses, too, (there were signs). We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority, (38) In response, he turned away along with his army and said, “He is a magician or a madman.” (39) So We seized him and his hosts and cast them into the sea. Indeed, he was blameworthy. (40) And in Ad: When We sent upon them the destructive wind. (41) that left nothing it came upon, except that it was ashes. (42) And in Samood: When it was said to them: Enjoy yourselves for a while. (43) But they rebelled against the command of their Lord. So the thunderbolt overtook them while they looked on: (44) they could neither stand up straight, nor were they helped. (45) (So were) the people of Nuh (Noah) before them. Verily, they were a people who were Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). (46)
