Hizb 53
Juz 27
Hast thou received the story of the honoured guests of Abraham? (24) Behold, they entered his presence, and said: "Peace!" He said, "Peace!" (and thought, "These seem) unusual people." (25) Then he turned to his household and brought a fattened calf, (26) and placed it before them, saying, "Will you not eat?" (27) He began to feel afraid. They said, "Do not be afraid," and then gave him the glad news of the birth of a knowledgeable son. (28) And his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said, "[I am] a barren old woman!" (29) They said, “This is how your Lord has decreed; indeed He only is the Wise, the All Knowing.” (30) ۞ Said he, 'And what is your business, envoys?' (31) They replied: 'We are sent to a sinful nation, (32) to let loose upon them stone-hard blows of chastisement, (33) Marked by your Lord for the Musrifun (polytheists, criminals, sinners those who trespass Allah's set limits in evil-doings by committing great sins). (34) So We brought forth such believers as were in it, (35) but We found only one Muslim house. (36) And We have left there a sign (i.e. the place of the Dead Sea, well-known in Palestine) for those who fear the painful torment. (37) AND IN [the story of Pharaoh and] Moses, too, [We left the same message: for] when We sent him unto Pharaoh with [Our] manifest authority, (38) In response, he turned away along with his army and said, “He is a magician or a madman.” (39) So We took him and his forces, and threw them into the sea; and his was the blame. (40) And in 'Ad (there is also a sign) when We sent against them the barren wind; (41) It did not leave aught on which it blew, but it made it like ashes. (42) In the Thamud [there was another sign], when they were told, "Make the most of your lives for a while." (43) after they had turned with disdain from their Sustainer's commandment - whereupon the thunderbolt of punishment overtook them while they were [helplessly] looking on: (44) And neither stand up nor defend themselves. (45) So were the People of Noah before them for they wickedly transgressed. (46)
