Hizb 53
Juz 27
Hath the story of Abraham's honoured guests reached thee (O Muhammad)? (24) Behold, they entered his presence, and said: "Peace!" He said, "Peace!" (and thought, "These seem) unusual people." (25) Then he turned to his household and brought a fattened calf, (26) and placed it before them, saying, "Will you not eat?" (27) He began to feel afraid. They said, "Do not be afraid," and then gave him the glad news of the birth of a knowledgeable son. (28) Then his wife came forward, making moan, and smote her face, and cried: A barren old woman! (29) They said: "Even so says your Lord. Verily, He is the All-Wise, the All-Knower." (30) ۞ Abraham asked, "What is your errand, O messengers?" (31) They replied, "We have been sent to a sinful people (32) to loose upon them stones of clay (33) Marked by thy Lord for (the destruction of) the wanton. (34) Then We brought forth such as were therein of the believers. (35) But We found in it only one household of those who had surrendered themselves, (36) We left therein evidence for those who fear the painful torment. (37) And in Moosa, when We sent him with a clear proof towards Firaun. (38) The Pharaoh and his forces turned away from him, saying, "He is either a magician or an insane person". (39) So We took him and his hosts, and dumped them into the sea, while he was to be blamed. (40) There is also a Sign for you in (the story of) Ad, when We let loose upon them an ominous wind (41) that left nothing it came upon, but made it as stuff decayed. (42) There is also evidence (of the Truth) in the story of the Thamud, who were told to enjoy themselves for an appointed time. (43) But they brazenly disobeyed their Lord's command, and then a sudden chastisement overtook them while they looked on. (44) And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves. (45) Before all these We destroyed the people of Noah: they were a wicked people. (46)
