(O Prophet), did the story of Abraham's honoured guests reach you? (24) Behold, they entered his presence, and said: "Peace!" He said, "Peace!" (and thought, "These seem) unusual people." (25) Then he turned quickly to his household, brought out a fatted calf, (26) He placed it before them. Then he said, "Why are you not eating?" (27) So he conceived in his mind a fear on account of them. They said: Fear not. And they gave him the good news of a boy possessing knowledge. (28) Then came forward his wife, clamouring, and she smote her face, and said, 'An old woman, barren!' (29) They said, “This is how your Lord has decreed; indeed He only is the Wise, the All Knowing.” (30) ۞ Said he, 'And what is your business, envoys?' (31) They said: "We have been sent to a wicked people (32) So as to let loose clods of clay on them (33) Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors." (34) Then We evacuated those of the Believers who were there, (35) But We did not find therein save a (single) house of those who submitted (the Muslims). (36) And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. (37) And in Moosa, when We sent him with a clear proof towards Firaun. (38) But he turned his back, he and his courtiers, and said, "This is a sorcerer or a madman." (39) So We seized him and his hosts and hurled them into the sea and he was blamable. (40) There is also a Sign for you in (the story of) Ad, when We let loose upon them an ominous wind (41) which turned everything it approached into dust. (42) There is also evidence (of the Truth) in the story of the Thamud, who were told to enjoy themselves for an appointed time. (43) But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord, so the Sa'iqah overtook them while they were looking. (44) And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves. (45) And the people of Nuh We destroyed aforetime; verily they were a people transgressing. (46)
