Hizb 53
Juz 27
Have you heard the story of Abraham's honored guests? (24) When they entered unto him, saying 'Peace!' he said 'Peace! You are a people unknown to me.' (25) Then he turned away privately unto his household, and brought a calf fatted. (26) and he laid it before them saying, 'Will you not eat?' (27) Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: fear not. And they gave him the tidings of a youth knowing. (28) His wife came forward, crying and beating her face, saying, "I am an old barren woman!" (29) They said, "Thus has said your Lord; indeed, He is the Wise, the Knowing." (30) ۞ He said: What is your affair then, O apostles! (31) They said, "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin;- (32) that we may unleash a shower of clay-stones (33) “That are kept marked, with your Lord, for the transgressors.” (34) So We brought the believers out of that they were in. (35) We found in it only one household of true believers -- (36) And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. (37) AND IN [the story of Pharaoh and] Moses, too, [We left the same message: for] when We sent him unto Pharaoh with [Our] manifest authority, (38) But he turned his back, he and his courtiers, and said, "This is a sorcerer or a madman." (39) We seized him and his army and threw them into the sea. He himself was to be blamed. (40) And in the tribe of A’ad, when we sent a dry windstorm upon them. (41) Which turned everything it touched to ashes. (42) And in (the tribe of) Thamud (there is a portent) when it was told them: Take your ease awhile. (43) But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord: So the stunning noise (of an earthquake) seized them, even while they were looking on. (44) So they were neither able to stand up, nor were they able to take revenge. (45) And [thus, too, We destroyed] Noah's people aforetime: for they were iniquitous folk. (46)
