Hizb 53
Juz 27
Has the story reached thee, of the honoured guests of Abraham? (24) When they came to him and said, “Peace”; he answered, “Peace”; and thought, “These people are not familiar.” (25) Then he turned quickly to his household, brought out a fatted calf, (26) and he laid it before them saying, 'Will you not eat?' (27) Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: fear not. And they gave him the tidings of a youth knowing. (28) Then his wife came up in great grief, and she struck her face and said: An old barren woman! (29) They said, “This is how your Lord has decreed; indeed He only is the Wise, the All Knowing.” (30) ۞ 'Messengers' said he (Abraham), 'what is your errand' (31) They said, 'We have been sent to a people of sinners, (32) "To bring on, on them, (a shower of) stones of clay (brimstone), (33) They are transgressors in the presence of your Lord". (34) So We brought forth such believers as were in it, (35) We therefore found just one house over there that was Muslim. (36) and We left therein a sign for those who fear a painful punishment. (37) And in Musa (Moses) (too, there is a sign). When We sent him to Fir'aun (Pharaoh) with a manifest authority. (38) Then he turned away with his court, and said: a magician or a madman. (39) So We seized him and his armies, and threw them into the sea, for he was worthy of blame. (40) And [you have the same message] in [what happened to the tribe of] Ad, when We let loose against them that life-destroying wind (41) It left out nothing in its path, but which it split up into fragments. (42) And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time." (43) In response they rebelled against their Lord’s command, so the thunderbolt seized them whilst they were watching. (44) they could neither stand up straight, nor were they helped. (45) Before all these We destroyed the people of Noah: they were a wicked people. (46)
