Hizb 53
Juz 27
AND HAS the story of Abraham's honoured guests ever come within thy ken? (24) When they came in to him, and said, "Salam, (peace be upon you)!" He answered; "Salam, (peace be upon you)," and said: "You are a people unknown to me," (25) Then he turned quietly to his household, and brought forth a fat [roasted] calf, (26) and he laid it before them saying, 'Will you not eat?' (27) He therefore inwardly sensed fear of them; they said, “Do not fear!”; and they gave him the glad tidings of a knowledgeable son. (28) So his wife came screaming, and striking her forehead cried, “What! For a barren old woman?” (29) They said: Even so saith thy Lord. Lo! He is the Wise, the Knower. (30) ۞ (Abraham) said: And (afterward) what is your errand, O ye sent (from Allah)? (31) They said, “We have been sent towards a guilty nation.” (32) that we may unleash a shower of clay-stones (33) “That are kept marked, with your Lord, for the transgressors.” (34) And in the course of time We brought out [of Lot 's city] such [few] believers as were there: (35) But did not find more than a single family of believers. (36) And so We left therein a message for those who fear the grievous suffering [which awaits all evildoers]. (37) And in Moses (was another Sign): Behold, We sent him to Pharaoh, with authority manifest. (38) But he turned away with his supporters and said," A magician or a madman." (39) So We seized him and his hosts, and We cast them into the sea, and he blameworthy. (40) There is also evidence of the Truth in the story of Ad whom We struck with a violent wind (41) which spared nothing of what it came upon, but caused [all of] it to become like bones dead and decayed. (42) And in Thamud, when We said to them: "Enjoy yourselves for a while;" (43) But they were insolent toward the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them while they were looking on. (44) So they were not able to rise up, nor could they defend themselves- (45) [We destroyed] the people of Noah before them. They were certainly a sinful people. (46)
