Hizb 53
Juz 27
Have you heard the story of Abraham's honored guests? (24) When they came in unto him and said: peace! he said: peace! people unknown. (25) Then he went to his home so he brought a healthy calf. (26) And placed it before them.. he said, "Will ye not eat?" (27) He therefore inwardly sensed fear of them; they said, “Do not fear!”; and they gave him the glad tidings of a knowledgeable son. (28) Then came forward his wife, clamouring, and she smote her face, and said, 'An old woman, barren!' (29) They said: even so saith thine Lord. Verily He! He is the Wise, the Knower. (30) ۞ [Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?" (31) They said, "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin;- (32) so that we bring down stones of clay upon them (33) marked by your Lord for the sinful' (34) We saved the believers among them, (35) for apart from one [single] house We did not find there any who had surrendered themselves to Us. (36) We left a sign in this for those who fear the grievous punishment, (37) There is another sign in Moses: We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. (38) But he turned to his counsellors, and said: "He is a magician or lunatic." (39) Then We seized him and his army and cast them all into the sea: he himself [Pharaoh] was to blame. (40) And in the tribe of A’ad, when we sent a dry windstorm upon them. (41) It left nothing whatever that it came up against, but reduced it to ruin and rottenness. (42) And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time." (43) In response they rebelled against their Lord’s command, so the thunderbolt seized them whilst they were watching. (44) Then they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves. (45) And the people of Nuh We destroyed aforetime; verily they were a people transgressing. (46)
