Hizb 53
Juz 27
Hath there come unto thee the story of Ibrahim's honoured guests? (24) When they came to him, they said: "Peace." He answered: "Peace." They were a people he did not recognise. (25) So he turned to his household and brought a fattened calf. (26) And placed it before them, (saying): "Will you not eat?" (27) Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: Fear not! and gave him tidings of (the birth of) a wise son. (28) Then his wife came up in great grief, and she struck her face and said: An old barren woman! (29) They said: “So has your Lord said (that you shall have a boy). Surely He is Most Wise, All-Knowing.” (30) ۞ Abraham asked, "What is your errand, O messengers?" (31) They said: verily we are sent unto a people, guilty. (32) that we may unleash a shower of clay-stones (33) Sent forth from your Lord for the extravagant. (34) So We removed the people who had faith, from that town. (35) But We found in it only one household of those who had surrendered themselves, (36) And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. (37) And in Moosa, when We sent him with a clear proof towards Firaun. (38) But he turned away with his supporters and said," A magician or a madman." (39) So We seized him and his hosts and flung them in the sea, for he was reprobate. (40) In 'Ad (also is a sign), when We sent a blasting wind against them, (41) that left nothing it came upon, but made it as stuff decayed. (42) And in the Thamud (was another Sign): Behold, they were told, "Enjoy (your brief day) for a little while!" (43) In response they rebelled against their Lord’s command, so the thunderbolt seized them whilst they were watching. (44) they could neither stand up straight, nor were they helped. (45) And the people of Noah before; surely they were an ungodly people. (46)
