Hizb 53
Juz 27
Has the story reached thee, of the honoured guests of Abraham? (24) When they came in to him, and said, "Salam, (peace be upon you)!" He answered; "Salam, (peace be upon you)," and said: "You are a people unknown to me," (25) Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf (26) And he set it before them, saying: Will ye not eat? (27) Then he became afraid of them. They said: “Fear not,” and announced to him the good news of (the birth of) a boy endowed with knowledge. (28) His wife came forward, crying and beating her face, saying, "I am an old barren woman!" (29) They said: “So has your Lord said (that you shall have a boy). Surely He is Most Wise, All-Knowing.” (30) ۞ He said: "What is then your business, O messengers?" (31) They said: "We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disbelievers in Allah); (32) That we may send upon them stones of clay, (33) marked by your Lord upon those who go beyond the limits.” (34) So We brought forth such believers as were in it, (35) And We found not therein more than one house of the Muslims. (36) And We left behind therein a portent for those who fear a painful doom. (37) And in Moosa, when We sent him with a clear proof towards Firaun. (38) The Pharaoh and his forces turned away from him, saying, "He is either a magician or an insane person". (39) Then We seized him and his army and cast them all into the sea: he himself [Pharaoh] was to blame. (40) And in the 'Ad (people) (was another Sign): Behold, We sent against them the devastating Wind: (41) which turned everything it approached into dust. (42) And in Thamood it was said to them: 'Take your enjoyment for awhile' (43) But they brazenly disobeyed their Lord's command, and then a sudden chastisement overtook them while they looked on. (44) And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves. (45) (So were) the people of Nuh (Noah) before them. Verily, they were a people who were Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). (46)
