Hizb 53
Juz 27
Hath there come unto thee the story of Ibrahim's honoured guests? (24) Behold, they entered his presence, and said: "Peace!" He said, "Peace!" (and thought, "These seem) unusual people." (25) Then he turned quickly to his household, brought out a fatted calf, (26) And placed it before them, (saying): "Will you not eat?" (27) Then he conceived a fear of them (when they ate not). They said: "Fear not." And they gave him glad tidings of an intelligent son, having knowledge (about Allah and His religion of True Monotheism). (28) Then his wife came forward, making moan, and smote her face, and cried: A barren old woman! (29) They said, "Thus has said your Lord; indeed, He is the Wise, the Knowing." (30) ۞ [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Then for what purpose you have come, O Messengers?" (31) They said: Surely we are sent to a guilty people, (32) that we may unleash a shower of clay-stones (33) marked with thy Lord for the prodigal. (34) So We removed the people who had faith, from that town. (35) for apart from one [single] house We did not find there any who had surrendered themselves to Us. (36) We left therein evidence for those who fear the painful torment. (37) In Moses, too, (there were signs). We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority, (38) The Pharaoh and his forces turned away from him, saying, "He is either a magician or an insane person". (39) So We seized him and his hosts and hurled them into the sea and he was blamable. (40) In 'Ad (also is a sign), when We sent a blasting wind against them, (41) It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins. (42) In the Thamud [there was another sign], when they were told, "Make the most of your lives for a while." (43) In response they rebelled against their Lord’s command, so the thunderbolt seized them whilst they were watching. (44) for they were unable even to rise, and could not defend themselves. (45) And [We destroyed] the people of Noah before; indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient. (46)
