Hizb 53
Juz 27
Have you heard the story of Abraham's honoured guests? (24) When they came to him, they said: "Peace." He answered: "Peace." They were a people he did not recognise. (25) Then he turned aside to his family secretly and brought a fat (roasted) calf, (26) And placing it before them said: "Won't you eat?" (27) beginning to be afraid of them. But they said, "Don't be afraid"; and they gave him the good news of a son who would be endowed with knowledge. (28) Then his wife drew near vociferating, and smote her face, and said: an old barren woman! (29) They said: "Thus said your Lord. He is indeed all-wise and all-knowing." (30) ۞ Abraham asked, "Messengers, what is your task?" (31) They replied: “Behold, we have been sent to a wicked people (32) That we may send down upon them stone of clay, (33) marked with thy Lord for the prodigal. (34) So We brought out from therein the believers. (35) We therefore found just one house over there that was Muslim. (36) And We have left there a sign (i.e. the place of the Dead Sea, well-known in Palestine) for those who fear the painful torment. (37) There is also a Sign for you in the story of Moses when We sent him with a clear authority to Pharaoh. (38) But he turned to his counsellors, and said: "He is a magician or lunatic." (39) So We seized him and his hosts and flung them in the sea, for he was reprobate. (40) In 'Ad (also is a sign), when We sent a blasting wind against them, (41) that left nothing that it came upon without reducing it to rubble. (42) And in the Thamud (was another Sign): Behold, they were told, "Enjoy (your brief day) for a little while!" (43) Then they turned in disdain from the commandment of their Lord, and the thunderbolt took them and they themselves beholding (44) So they were not able to stand, nor could they help themselves. (45) And [thus, too, We destroyed] Noah's people aforetime: for they were iniquitous folk. (46)
