Hizb 53
Juz 27
Hast thou received the story of the honoured guests of Abraham? (24) When they entered upon him and said, "[We greet you with] peace." He answered, "[And upon you] peace, [you are] a people unknown. (25) Then he went back to his family and brought a fat roasted calf (26) And placed it before them.. he said, "Will ye not eat?" (27) (When they did not eat), He conceived a fear of them. They said, "Fear not," and they gave him glad tidings of a son endowed with knowledge. (28) But his wife came forward (laughing) aloud: she smote her forehead and said: "A barren old woman!" (29) "Such is the will of your Lord," they replied. "He is the Wise, the All Knowing." (30) ۞ Abraham asked, "Messengers, what is your task?" (31) They replied, "We have been sent to a sinful people (32) So as to let loose clods of clay on them (33) marked out in thy Sustainer's sight for [the punishment of] such as have wasted their own selves." (34) So We evacuated everyone who was a believer there, (35) But did not find more than a single family of believers. (36) And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. (37) AND IN [the story of Pharaoh and] Moses, too, [We left the same message: for] when We sent him unto Pharaoh with [Our] manifest authority, (38) but he turned his back, with his court, saying, 'A sorcerer, or a man possessed!' (39) We seized him and his hosts, and cast them all into the sea: and [none but Pharaoh] himself was to blame [for what happened]. (40) And in 'Aad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind. (41) and it destroyed everything over which it passed and reduced it to dust. (42) And in [the story of the tribe of] Thamud, too, when they were told, "You shall enjoy your life for [but] a little while," (43) But they rebelled against their Lord's decree, and so the thunderbolt overtook them even while they gazed; (44) And they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves. (45) (So were) the people of Nuh (Noah) before them. Verily, they were a people who were Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). (46)
