Hizb 53
Juz 27
Have you heard the story of Abraham's honoured guests? (24) When they came in unto him and said: Peace! he answered, Peace! (and thought): Folk unknown (to me). (25) Then he turned to his household, so brought out a roasted calf [as the property of Ibrahim (Abraham) was mainly cows]. (26) And he set it before them, saying: Will ye not eat? (27) He began to feel afraid. They said, "Do not be afraid," and then gave him the glad news of the birth of a knowledgeable son. (28) Then his wife came forward with a loud voice, she smote her face, and said: "A barren old woman!" (29) They said: "Even so says your Lord. Verily, He is the All-Wise, the All-Knower." (30) ۞ Said [Abraham]: "And what [else] may you have in view, O you [heavenly] messengers?" (31) They replied, "We have been sent to a sinful people, (32) “To throw upon them stones of baked clay.” (33) "Marked as from thy Lord for those who trespass beyond bounds." (34) Thus We brought forth from therein who were believers. (35) And We found not therein more than one house of the Muslims. (36) And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. (37) There is also evidence (of the Truth) in the story of Moses when We sent him to the Pharaoh with clear authority. (38) But (Pharaoh) turned back with his Chiefs, and said, "A sorcerer, or one possessed!" (39) So We took him and his hosts, and dumped them into the sea, while he was to be blamed. (40) There is also a Sign for you in (the story of) Ad, when We let loose upon them an ominous wind (41) which turned everything it approached into dust. (42) And in Thamud, when We said to them: "Enjoy yourselves for a while;" (43) But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord, so the Sa'iqah overtook them while they were looking. (44) And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves. (45) The people of Noah who lived before them were also evil doing people. (46)
