Hizb 53
Juz 27
(O Prophet), did the story of Abraham's honoured guests reach you? (24) When they came in unto him and said: Peace! he answered, Peace! (and thought): Folk unknown (to me). (25) Then he turned to his household and brought a fattened calf, (26) So he brought it near them. He said: What! will you not eat? (27) Then he conceived a fear of them (when they ate not). They said: "Fear not." And they gave him glad tidings of an intelligent son, having knowledge (about Allah and His religion of True Monotheism). (28) His wife came forward, crying and beating her face, saying, "I am an old barren woman!" (29) They said: "Even so says your Lord. Verily, He is the All-Wise, the All-Knower." (30) ۞ He said: what then is your errand! O ye sent ones! (31) They replied: “Behold, we have been sent to a wicked people (32) “To throw upon them stones of baked clay.” (33) marked with thy Lord for the prodigal. (34) Then We evacuated there from all the believers (35) But did not find more than a single family of believers. (36) and We left therein a Sign for those who fear the grievous chastisement. (37) And in Moses (was another Sign): Behold, We sent him to Pharaoh, with authority manifest. (38) but he turned his back with his Assembly, saying: 'He is (either) a sorcerer or a mad man' (39) We seized him and his hosts, and cast them all into the sea: and [none but Pharaoh] himself was to blame [for what happened]. (40) And in 'A-ad also was a lesson, when We sent against them the barren wind. (41) which turned everything it approached into dust. (42) And in (the tribe of) Thamud (there is a portent) when it was told them: Take your ease awhile. (43) Then they turned in disdain from the commandment of their Lord, and the thunderbolt took them and they themselves beholding (44) Then they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves. (45) And the people of Nuh before, surely they were a transgressing people. (46)
