Hizb 53
Juz 27
Has the story of Abraham's honoured guests come to you? (24) When they came in to him, and said, "Salam, (peace be upon you)!" He answered; "Salam, (peace be upon you)," and said: "You are a people unknown to me," (25) Then he turned quickly to his household, and brought a fatted calf, (26) and laid it before them, saying: “Will you not eat?” (27) Then he conceived a fear about them, and they said: 'Have no fear', and gave him the glad tidings that he was to have a knowledgeable son. (28) Then his wife came up in great grief, and she struck her face and said: An old barren woman! (29) They said: "Thus said your Lord. He is indeed all-wise and all-knowing." (30) ۞ He said: what then is your errand! O ye sent ones! (31) They replied, "We have been sent to a sinful people, (32) That we may send down upon them stones of baked clay. (33) marked by your Lord for the sinful' (34) So We brought out from therein the believers. (35) We therefore found just one house over there that was Muslim. (36) And We left there a Sign for such as fear the Grievous Penalty. (37) As (there was) in Moses when We sent him to the Pharaoh with clear authority. (38) but he turned his back, with his court, saying, 'A sorcerer, or a man possessed!' (39) We therefore seized him and his army and threw them into the sea, while he was blaming himself. (40) And in 'Ad (there is also a sign) when We sent against them the barren wind; (41) It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins. (42) And in (the tribe of) Thamud (there is a portent) when it was told them: Take your ease awhile. (43) But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord, so the Sa'iqah overtook them while they were looking. (44) And neither stand up nor defend themselves. (45) And the folk of Noah aforetime. Lo! they were licentious folk. (46)
