Hizb 53
Juz 27
Hast thou received the story of the honoured guests of Abraham? (24) When they came in unto him and said: peace! he said: peace! people unknown. (25) Then he turned aside to his family secretly and brought a fat (roasted) calf, (26) And he set it before them, saying: Will ye not eat? (27) Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: Fear not! and gave him tidings of (the birth of) a wise son. (28) Then his wife came up in great grief, and she struck her face and said: An old barren woman! (29) They said, 'So says thy Lord; He is the All-wise, the All-knowing.' (30) ۞ [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Then for what purpose you have come, O Messengers?" (31) They answered: "Behold, we have been sent unto a people lost in sin, (32) "To bring on, on them, (a shower of) stones of clay (brimstone), (33) Marked, from before thy Lord, for the extravagant. (34) And in the course of time We brought out [of Lot 's city] such [few] believers as were there: (35) We found in it only one household of true believers -- (36) And so We left therein a message for those who fear the grievous suffering [which awaits all evildoers]. (37) And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. (38) But he turned to his counsellors, and said: "He is a magician or lunatic." (39) So We took him and his hosts, and dumped them into the sea, while he was to be blamed. (40) And in Ad: When We sent upon them the destructive wind. (41) It spared naught that it reached, but made it (all) as dust. (42) And in [the story of the tribe of] Thamud, too, when they were told, "You shall enjoy your life for [but] a little while," (43) But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord, so the Sa'iqah overtook them while they were looking. (44) they could not stand up again, nor could they defend themselves. (45) And the people of Noah before; surely they were an ungodly people. (46)
