Has the story reached thee, of the honoured guests of Abraham? (24) When they entered unto him, saying 'Peace!' he said 'Peace! You are a people unknown to me.' (25) Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf (26) He placed it before them. Then he said, "Why are you not eating?" (27) Then he conceived a fear about them, and they said: 'Have no fear', and gave him the glad tidings that he was to have a knowledgeable son. (28) Then his wife drew near vociferating, and smote her face, and said: an old barren woman! (29) They said, "Even so has thy Lord spoken: and He is full of Wisdom and Knowledge." (30) ۞ He said: What is your affair then, O apostles! (31) They said, 'We have been sent to a people of sinners, (32) to loose upon them stones of clay (33) “That are kept marked, with your Lord, for the transgressors.” (34) So We brought out from therein the believers. (35) And We found not therein more than one house of the Muslims. (36) And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. (37) As (there was) in Moses when We sent him to the Pharaoh with clear authority. (38) In response, he turned away along with his army and said, “He is a magician or a madman.” (39) So We seized him and his armies, and threw them into the sea, for he was worthy of blame. (40) And in 'Aad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind. (41) It spared naught that it reached, but made it (all) as dust. (42) And in Thamud (there is also a sign), when they were told: "Enjoy yourselves for a while!" (43) Then they turned in disdain from the commandment of their Lord, and the thunderbolt took them and they themselves beholding (44) And they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves. (45) And before them the nation of Noah, indeed they were a debauched nation. (46)
