Hizb 53
Juz 27
Hast thou received the story of the honoured guests of Abraham? (24) When they came in unto him and said: Peace! he answered, Peace! (and thought): Folk unknown (to me). (25) Then he went back to his family and brought a fat roasted calf (26) And placed it before them.. he said, "Will ye not eat?" (27) Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: fear not. And they gave him the tidings of a youth knowing. (28) Then his wife drew near vociferating, and smote her face, and said: an old barren woman! (29) They said: Thus says your Lord: Surely He is the Wise, the Knowing. (30) ۞ He said: "What is then your business, O messengers?" (31) They said: Surely we are sent to a guilty people, (32) To send down upon them stones of clay, (33) marked by your Lord for the sinful' (34) So We removed the people who had faith, from that town. (35) But We found there but one house of those surrendered (to Allah). (36) and left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. (37) As (there was) in Moses when We sent him to the Pharaoh with clear authority. (38) But he withdrew (confiding) in his might, and said: A wizard or a madman. (39) So We seized him and his hosts and flung them in the sea, for he was reprobate. (40) And in Ad: When We sent upon them the destructive wind. (41) that left nothing it came upon, except that it was ashes. (42) There is also a Sign for you in (the story of) Thamud. They were told: “Enjoy yourselves for a while.” (43) But they rebelled against the command of their Lord. So the thunderbolt overtook them while they looked on: (44) and they were not able to stand upright, and were not helped. (45) And the folk of Noah aforetime. Lo! they were licentious folk. (46)
