Hizb 53
Juz 27
Have you heard the story of Abraham's honoured guests? (24) When they came to him and said, “Peace”; he answered, “Peace”; and thought, “These people are not familiar.” (25) So he turned to his household and brought a fattened calf. (26) and placed it before them. "Will you not eat?" he said, (27) He therefore inwardly sensed fear of them; they said, “Do not fear!”; and they gave him the glad tidings of a knowledgeable son. (28) His wife came forward, crying and beating her face, saying, "I am an old barren woman!" (29) They said: Even so saith thy Lord. Lo! He is the Wise, the Knower. (30) ۞ 'Messengers' said he (Abraham), 'what is your errand' (31) They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals (32) That we may send down upon them stone of clay, (33) Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors." (34) So We brought forth such believers as were in it, (35) But We found not there any just (Muslim) persons except in one house: (36) and We left therein a sign for those who fear a painful punishment. (37) As (there was) in Moses when We sent him to the Pharaoh with clear authority. (38) Then he turned away with his court, and said: a magician or a madman. (39) Then We seized him and his army and cast them all into the sea: he himself [Pharaoh] was to blame. (40) And in Aad. We let loose on them a withering wind (41) It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins. (42) And in Thamud, when We said to them: "Enjoy yourselves for a while;" (43) But they rebelled against their Lord's decree, and so the thunderbolt overtook them even while they gazed; (44) And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves. (45) And the people of Nuh We destroyed aforetime; verily they were a people transgressing. (46)
