Hizb 53
Juz 27
Did the news of Ibrahim’s honourable guests reach you (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him)? (24) When they entered upon him, they said: Peace. Peace, said he, a strange people. (25) Then he went to his home so he brought a healthy calf. (26) He then presented it before them and said, “Do you not eat?” (27) [And when he saw that the guests would not eat,] he became apprehensive of them; [but] they said, "Fear not" - and gave him the glad tiding of [the birth of] a son who would be endowed with deep knowledge. (28) Then his wife came up in great grief, and she struck her face and said: An old barren woman! (29) They said, 'So says thy Lord; He is the All-wise, the All-knowing.' (30) ۞ Abraham asked, "What is your errand, O messengers?" (31) They said: verily we are sent unto a people, guilty. (32) so that we may bring down upon them a shower of stones of clay, (33) Marked by your Lord for those who waste their substance." (34) So We brought the believers out of that they were in. (35) We found in it only one household of true believers -- (36) And therein We left a sign to those who fear the painful chastisement. (37) As (there was) in Moses when We sent him to the Pharaoh with clear authority. (38) but he turned his back with his Assembly, saying: 'He is (either) a sorcerer or a mad man' (39) We seized him and his hosts, and cast them all into the sea: and [none but Pharaoh] himself was to blame [for what happened]. (40) There is also a Sign for you in (the story of) Ad, when We let loose upon them an ominous wind (41) that left nothing that it came upon without reducing it to rubble. (42) And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time." (43) But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord: So the stunning noise (of an earthquake) seized them, even while they were looking on. (44) Then they could not even stand (on their feet), nor could they help themselves. (45) And the folk of Noah aforetime. Lo! they were licentious folk. (46)
