Hizb 53
Juz 27
Hath the story of Abraham's honoured guests reached thee (O Muhammad)? (24) When they entered upon him, they said: Peace. Peace, said he, a strange people. (25) Then he turned quickly to his household, and brought a fatted calf, (26) And placed it before them.. he said, "Will ye not eat?" (27) Then he conceived a fear of them (when they ate not). They said: "Fear not." And they gave him glad tidings of an intelligent son, having knowledge (about Allah and His religion of True Monotheism). (28) Then came forward his wife, clamouring, and she smote her face, and said, 'An old woman, barren!' (29) They said: even so saith thine Lord. Verily He! He is the Wise, the Knower. (30) ۞ Said he, 'And what is your business, envoys?' (31) They replied, "We have been sent to a sinful people (32) that we may unleash a shower of clay-stones (33) which are marked by your Lord for the punishment of those guilty of excesses." (34) So We brought out whoever was in the cities of the believers. (35) We therefore found just one house over there that was Muslim. (36) And We left therein a sign for those who fear the afflictive torment. (37) And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. (38) In response, he turned away along with his army and said, “He is a magician or a madman.” (39) So We seized him and his armies, and threw them into the sea, for he was worthy of blame. (40) And in (the tribe of) A'ad (there is a portent) when we sent the fatal wind against them. (41) which turned everything it approached into dust. (42) And in Thamud's also was a lesson, when it was said unto them: enjoy yourselves for a season. (43) Then they disdained the command of their Lord; wherefore the bolt laid hold of them even while they looked on. (44) they could not stand up again, nor could they defend themselves. (45) And the people of Nuh We destroyed aforetime; verily they were a people transgressing. (46)
