Hizb 53
Juz 27
Has the story reached thee, of the honoured guests of Abraham? (24) When they came in unto him and said: Peace! he answered, Peace! (and thought): Folk unknown (to me). (25) So he turned to his household and brought a fattened calf. (26) So he brought it near them. He said: What! will you not eat? (27) Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: fear not. And they gave him the tidings of a youth knowing. (28) (Sarah) his wife came with an exclamation and clasped her face, and said: 'Surely, I am a barren old woman' (29) They said: Even so saith thy Lord. Lo! He is the Wise, the Knower. (30) ۞ (Abraham) said: "And what, O ye Messengers, is your errand (now)?" (31) They said: Lo! we are sent unto a guilty folk, (32) To send down upon them stones of baked clay. (33) "Marked as from thy Lord for those who trespass beyond bounds." (34) So We brought the believers out of that they were in. (35) But We found there but one house of those surrendered (to Allah). (36) and left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. (37) And also in Moses, when We sent him unto Pharaoh, with a clear authority, (38) In response, he turned away along with his army and said, “He is a magician or a madman.” (39) So We seized him and his hosts and flung them in the sea, for he was reprobate. (40) And also in Ad, when We loosed against them the withering wind (41) and it destroyed everything over which it passed and reduced it to dust. (42) There is also evidence (of the Truth) in the story of the Thamud, who were told to enjoy themselves for an appointed time. (43) But they revolted against the commandment of their Lord, so the rumbling overtook them while they saw. (44) And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves. (45) So were the People of Noah before them for they wickedly transgressed. (46)
