Hizb 53
Juz 27
Have you heard the story of Abraham's honoured guests? (24) When they entered upon him and said, "[We greet you with] peace." He answered, "[And upon you] peace, [you are] a people unknown. (25) Then he turned quickly to his household, brought out a fatted calf, (26) And placed it before them.. he said, "Will ye not eat?" (27) He began to feel afraid. They said, "Do not be afraid," and then gave him the glad news of the birth of a knowledgeable son. (28) So his wife came screaming, and striking her forehead cried, “What! For a barren old woman?” (29) They said, “This is how your Lord has decreed; indeed He only is the Wise, the All Knowing.” (30) ۞ (Abraham) said: "And what, O ye Messengers, is your errand (now)?" (31) They answered: "Behold, we have been sent unto a people lost in sin, (32) so that we may bring down upon them a shower of stones of clay, (33) marked with thy Lord for the prodigal. (34) So We brought forth such believers as were in it, (35) And We found not therein more than one house of the Muslims. (36) and We left therein a sign for those who fear a painful punishment. (37) And in Moses (too, there is a portent) when We sent him unto Pharaoh with clear warrant, (38) But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] turned away (from Belief in might) along with his hosts, and said: "A sorcerer, or a madman." (39) We therefore seized him and his army and threw them into the sea, while he was blaming himself. (40) And in 'Aad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind. (41) that left nothing that it came upon without reducing it to rubble. (42) And in Thamud, when We said to them: "Enjoy yourselves for a while;" (43) But they rebelled against the command of their Lord. So the thunderbolt overtook them while they looked on: (44) So they were not able to rise up, nor could they defend themselves- (45) And [thus, too, We destroyed] Noah's people aforetime: for they were iniquitous folk.
