Hizb 53
Juz 27
Hath there come unto thee the story of Ibrahim's honoured guests? (24) When they entered upon him and said, "[We greet you with] peace." He answered, "[And upon you] peace, [you are] a people unknown. (25) Then he turned quickly to his household, brought out a fatted calf, (26) And he set it before them, and said: wherefore eat ye not? (27) Then he conceived a fear of them. They said, 'Be not afraid!' And they gave him good tidings of a cunning boy. (28) Then his wife came up in great grief, and she struck her face and said: An old barren woman! (29) They said, 'So says thy Lord; He is the All-wise, the All-knowing.' (30) ۞ Abraham asked, "Messengers, what is your task?" (31) They said: "We have been sent to a wicked people (32) That we may send down upon them stones of baked clay. (33) which are marked by your Lord for the punishment of those guilty of excesses." (34) We saved all the faithful in the town. (35) And We found not therein more than one house of the Muslims. (36) And therein We left a sign to those who fear the painful chastisement. (37) In Moses, too, (there were signs). We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority, (38) In response, he turned away along with his army and said, “He is a magician or a madman.” (39) So We seized him and his hosts and hurled them into the sea and he was blamable. (40) And in the 'Ad (people) (was another Sign): Behold, We sent against them the devastating Wind: (41) It left not aught whereon it came but it made it as matter decayed. (42) And in Thamud (there is also a sign), when they were told: "Enjoy yourselves for a while!" (43) Then they turned in disdain from the commandment of their Lord, and the thunderbolt took them and they themselves beholding (44) So they were neither able to stand up, nor were they able to take revenge. (45) And before them the nation of Noah, indeed they were a debauched nation. (46)
