Juz 27
AND HAS the story of Abraham's honoured guests ever come within thy ken? (24) When they entered upon him, they said: Peace. Peace, said he, a strange people. (25) Then he went back to his family and brought a fat roasted calf (26) And placed it before them.. he said, "Will ye not eat?" (27) beginning to be afraid of them. But they said, "Don't be afraid"; and they gave him the good news of a son who would be endowed with knowledge. (28) Then his wife came forward, crying and beating her brow. She said, "I am surely a barren, old woman." (29) They said: "Even so says your Lord. Verily, He is the All-Wise, the All-Knower." (30) ۞ He said: "What is then your business, O messengers?" (31) They said, 'We have been sent to a people of sinners, (32) That we may send down upon them stone of clay, (33) marked by your Lord for the sinful' (34) We saved the believers among them, (35) But We did not find therein save a (single) house of those who submitted (the Muslims). (36) And therein We left a sign to those who fear the painful chastisement. (37) And in Moses (was another Sign): Behold, We sent him to Pharaoh, with authority manifest. (38) But he turned away with his supporters and said," A magician or a madman." (39) So We took him and his hosts, and dumped them into the sea, while he was to be blamed. (40) And in the 'Ad (people) (was another Sign): Behold, We sent against them the devastating Wind: (41) It spared naught that it reached, but made it (all) as dust. (42) There is also evidence (of the Truth) in the story of the Thamud, who were told to enjoy themselves for an appointed time. (43) But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord: So the stunning noise (of an earthquake) seized them, even while they were looking on. (44) And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves. (45) And the people of Nuh before, surely they were a transgressing people. (46)
