Hizb 53
Juz 27
Hast thou received the story of the honoured guests of Abraham? (24) They entered to him and said: 'Peace' And he replied: 'Peace, you are people unknown to me' (25) Then he turned aside to his family secretly and brought a fat (roasted) calf, (26) and placed it before them, saying, "Will you not eat?" (27) He therefore inwardly sensed fear of them; they said, “Do not fear!”; and they gave him the glad tidings of a knowledgeable son. (28) But his wife came forward (laughing) aloud: she smote her forehead and said: "A barren old woman!" (29) "Such is the will of your Lord," they replied. "He is the Wise, the All Knowing." (30) ۞ He said: what then is your errand! O ye sent ones! (31) They replied: “Behold, we have been sent to a wicked people (32) so that we may bring down upon them a shower of stones of clay, (33) marked with thy Lord for the prodigal. (34) We saved the believers among them, (35) But did not find more than a single family of believers. (36) and We left therein a sign for those who fear a painful punishment. (37) And in Moses (was another Sign): Behold, We sent him to Pharaoh, with authority manifest. (38) But he turned away with his forces and said: A magician or a mad man. (39) Then We seized him and his army and cast them all into the sea: he himself [Pharaoh] was to blame. (40) And in the 'Ad (people) (was another Sign): Behold, We sent against them the devastating Wind: (41) Which turned everything it touched to ashes. (42) And also in Thamood, when it was said to them, 'Take your enjoyment for a while!' (43) But they rebelled against their Lord's decree, and so the thunderbolt overtook them even while they gazed; (44) So they were not able to stand, nor could they help themselves. (45) (So had We destroyed) the people of Noah before them: They were surely a sinful people. (46)
