Hizb 53
Juz 27
Has the story of Abraham's honoured guests come to you? (24) When those [heavenly messengers] came unto him and bade him peace, he answered, "[And upon you be] peace!" - [saying to himself,] "They are strangers." (25) Then he went back to his family and brought a fat roasted calf (26) And placing it before them said: "Won't you eat?" (27) Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: fear not. And they gave him the tidings of a youth knowing. (28) Then his wife came forward, making moan, and smote her face, and cried: A barren old woman! (29) They said: “So has your Lord said (that you shall have a boy). Surely He is Most Wise, All-Knowing.” (30) ۞ Said Ibrahim, “What is your task, O the sent angels?” (31) They said: "We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disbelievers in Allah); (32) That we may send upon them stones of clay, (33) Marked, from before thy Lord, for the extravagant. (34) Then We evacuated those of the Believers who were there, (35) But did not find more than a single family of believers. (36) And We left behind therein a portent for those who fear a painful doom. (37) And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. (38) But he turned to his counsellors, and said: "He is a magician or lunatic." (39) So We seized him and his hosts and hurled them into the sea and he was blamable. (40) In 'Ad (also is a sign), when We sent a blasting wind against them, (41) that left nothing that it came upon without reducing it to rubble. (42) And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time." (43) But they rebelled against the command of their Lord. So the thunderbolt overtook them while they looked on: (44) And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves. (45) And [thus, too, We destroyed] Noah's people aforetime: for they were iniquitous folk. (46)
