Hizb 53
Juz 27
Have you heard the story of Abraham's honored guests? (24) When they entered unto him, saying 'Peace!' he said 'Peace! You are a people unknown to me.' (25) So he hurried to the house and brought a fatted calf, (26) And he set it before them, and said: wherefore eat ye not? (27) (When they did not eat), He conceived a fear of them. They said, "Fear not," and they gave him glad tidings of a son endowed with knowledge. (28) And his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said, "[I am] a barren old woman!" (29) "Such is the will of your Lord," they replied. "He is the Wise, the All Knowing." (30) ۞ He said: what then is your errand! O ye sent ones! (31) They replied: “Behold, we have been sent to a wicked people (32) That we may send upon them stones of clay, (33) Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors." (34) So We brought the believers out of that they were in. (35) But did not find more than a single family of believers. (36) And therein We left a sign to those who fear the painful chastisement. (37) And in Musa also was a lesson, when We sent him unto Fir'awn with authority manifest. (38) But he turned away with his forces and said: A magician or a mad man. (39) So We seized him and his hosts and flung them in the sea, for he was reprobate. (40) There is also a Sign for you in (the story of) Ad, when We let loose upon them an ominous wind (41) It left out nothing in its path, but which it split up into fragments. (42) And in the Thamud (was another Sign): Behold, they were told, "Enjoy (your brief day) for a little while!" (43) Then they disdained the command of their Lord; wherefore the bolt laid hold of them even while they looked on. (44) for they were unable even to rise, and could not defend themselves. (45) [We destroyed] the people of Noah before them. They were certainly a sinful people. (46)
