Hizb 53
Juz 27
Has the story of Abraham's honoured guests come to you? (24) When they came in to him, and said, "Salam, (peace be upon you)!" He answered; "Salam, (peace be upon you)," and said: "You are a people unknown to me," (25) Then he turned quickly to his household, and brought a fatted calf, (26) And he set it before them, and said: wherefore eat ye not? (27) He began to feel afraid. They said, "Do not be afraid," and then gave him the glad news of the birth of a knowledgeable son. (28) So hearing his wife went forth shouting. She struck her face and exclaimed: “A barren old woman am I.” (29) They said: "Thus said your Lord. He is indeed all-wise and all-knowing." (30) ۞ (Abraham) said: And (afterward) what is your errand, O ye sent (from Allah)? (31) They replied, "We have been sent to a sinful people, (32) That we may send upon them stones of clay, (33) "Marked as from thy Lord for those who trespass beyond bounds." (34) And in the course of time We brought out [of Lot 's city] such [few] believers as were there: (35) But We did not find therein save a (single) house of those who submitted (the Muslims). (36) And We left behind therein a portent for those who fear a painful doom. (37) And in Moses (was another Sign): Behold, We sent him to Pharaoh, with authority manifest. (38) But (Pharaoh) turned back with his Chiefs, and said, "A sorcerer, or one possessed!" (39) So We seized him and his hosts and hurled them into the sea and he was blamable. (40) There is also a Sign for you in (the story of) Ad, when We let loose upon them an ominous wind (41) It did not leave aught on which it blew, but it made it like ashes. (42) There is also evidence (of the Truth) in the story of the Thamud, who were told to enjoy themselves for an appointed time. (43) Then they disdained the command of their Lord; wherefore the bolt laid hold of them even while they looked on. (44) They were unable even to stand up or protect themselves. (45) (So were) the people of Nuh (Noah) before them. Verily, they were a people who were Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). (46)
