Hizb 53
Juz 27
Have you heard the story of the honorable guests of Abraham? (24) When they came to him, they said: “Peace”; he said: “Peace also be to you; (you seem to be) a group of strangers.” (25) Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf (26) So he brought it near them. He said: What! will you not eat? (27) beginning to be afraid of them. But they said, "Don't be afraid"; and they gave him the good news of a son who would be endowed with knowledge. (28) So hearing his wife went forth shouting. She struck her face and exclaimed: “A barren old woman am I.” (29) They said, "This is true but your Lord has said, (that you will have a son); He is All-wise and All-knowing". (30) ۞ 'Messengers' said he (Abraham), 'what is your errand' (31) They replied: “Behold, we have been sent to a wicked people (32) That we may send upon them stones of clay, (33) marked with thy Lord for the prodigal. (34) So We removed the people who had faith, from that town. (35) And We found not within them other than a [single] house of Muslims. (36) and We left therein a Sign for those who fear the grievous chastisement. (37) There is another sign in Moses: We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. (38) But he turned away with his forces and said: A magician or a mad man. (39) Then We seized him and his army and cast them all into the sea: he himself [Pharaoh] was to blame. (40) And [you have the same message] in [what happened to the tribe of] Ad, when We let loose against them that life-destroying wind (41) It spared naught that it reached, but made it (all) as dust. (42) And in Thamood it was said to them: 'Take your enjoyment for awhile' (43) But they revolted against the commandment of their Lord, so the rumbling overtook them while they saw. (44) And neither stand up nor defend themselves. (45) And the folk of Noah aforetime. Lo! they were licentious folk. (46)
