Hizb 53
Juz 27
Has there come to you information about the honored guests of Ibrahim? (24) When they came in unto him and said: Peace! he answered, Peace! (and thought): Folk unknown (to me). (25) Then he turned away privately unto his household, and brought a calf fatted. (26) and he laid it before them saying, 'Will you not eat?' (27) He felt afraid of them; but they said: "Have no fear," and gave him the good news of a wise son. (28) Then his wife drew near vociferating, and smote her face, and said: an old barren woman! (29) "Such is the will of your Lord," they replied. "He is the Wise, the All Knowing." (30) ۞ Said Ibrahim, “What is your task, O the sent angels?” (31) They answered: "Behold, we have been sent unto a people lost in sin, (32) That we may send upon them stones of clay, (33) marked by your Lord upon those who go beyond the limits.” (34) So We removed the people who had faith, from that town. (35) But We found in it only one household of those who had surrendered themselves, (36) We left a sign in this for those who fear the grievous punishment, (37) And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. (38) But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] turned away (from Belief in might) along with his hosts, and said: "A sorcerer, or a madman." (39) So We seized him and his hosts, and cast them into the sea. He became an object of much blame. (40) And in Aad. We let loose on them a withering wind (41) that left nothing that it came upon without reducing it to rubble. (42) There is also a Sign for you in (the story of) Thamud. They were told: “Enjoy yourselves for a while.” (43) But they revolted against the commandment of their Lord, so the rumbling overtook them while they saw. (44) they could neither stand up straight, nor were they helped. (45) [We destroyed] the people of Noah before them. They were certainly a sinful people. (46)
