Hizb 53
Juz 27
Has there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham? - (24) When they came in to him, and said, "Salam, (peace be upon you)!" He answered; "Salam, (peace be upon you)," and said: "You are a people unknown to me," (25) So he hurried to the house and brought a fatted calf, (26) And he set it before them, saying: Will ye not eat? (27) He felt afraid of them; but they said: "Have no fear," and gave him the good news of a wise son. (28) Then his wife came forward, making moan, and smote her face, and cried: A barren old woman! (29) They said: even so saith thine Lord. Verily He! He is the Wise, the Knower. (30) ۞ Abraham asked, "What is your errand, O messengers?" (31) They replied: 'We are sent to a sinful nation, (32) “To throw upon them stones of baked clay.” (33) marked with thy Lord for the prodigal. (34) Then We evacuated those of the Believers who were there, (35) We therefore found just one house over there that was Muslim. (36) And We left behind therein a portent for those who fear a painful doom. (37) There is another sign in Moses: We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. (38) The Pharaoh and his forces turned away from him, saying, "He is either a magician or an insane person". (39) We seized him and his army and threw them into the sea. He himself was to be blamed. (40) There is also a Sign for you in (the story of) Ad, when We let loose upon them an ominous wind (41) and it destroyed everything over which it passed and reduced it to dust. (42) And in Samood: When it was said to them: Enjoy yourselves for a while. (43) But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord: So the stunning noise (of an earthquake) seized them, even while they were looking on. (44) Then they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves. (45) [We destroyed] the people of Noah before them. They were certainly a sinful people. (46)
