Hizb 53
Juz 27
Have you heard the story of the honorable guests of Abraham? (24) When they entered unto him, saying 'Peace!' he said 'Peace! You are a people unknown to me.' (25) Then he went to his home so he brought a healthy calf. (26) So he brought it near them. He said: What! will you not eat? (27) He felt afraid of them; but they said: "Have no fear," and gave him the good news of a wise son. (28) Then his wife came forward, crying and beating her brow. She said, "I am surely a barren, old woman." (29) They said: "Even so says your Lord. Verily, He is the All-Wise, the All-Knower." (30) ۞ Abraham asked, "What is your errand, O messengers?" (31) They said, “We have been sent towards a guilty nation.” (32) That we may send down upon them stone of clay, (33) “That are kept marked, with your Lord, for the transgressors.” (34) So We brought out from therein the believers. (35) But did not find more than a single family of believers. (36) And We left therein a sign for those who fear the afflictive torment. (37) In Moses, too, (there were signs). We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority, (38) In response, he turned away along with his army and said, “He is a magician or a madman.” (39) So We took him and his hosts, and dumped them into the sea, while he was to be blamed. (40) And also in Ad, when We loosed against them the withering wind (41) which turned everything it approached into dust. (42) And in Samood: When it was said to them: Enjoy yourselves for a while. (43) But they rebelled against the command of their Lord. So the thunderbolt overtook them while they looked on: (44) they could neither stand up straight, nor were they helped. (45) And the people of Nuh We destroyed aforetime; verily they were a people transgressing. (46)
