Hizb 53
Juz 27
Hath there come unto thee the story of Ibrahim's honoured guests? (24) When they came in to him, and said, "Salam, (peace be upon you)!" He answered; "Salam, (peace be upon you)," and said: "You are a people unknown to me," (25) Then he turned quietly to his household, and brought forth a fat [roasted] calf, (26) He placed it before them. Then he said, "Why are you not eating?" (27) And he felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy. (28) Then came forward his wife, clamouring, and she smote her face, and said, 'An old woman, barren!' (29) They said: "Even so says your Lord. Verily, He is the All-Wise, the All-Knower." (30) ۞ [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Then for what purpose you have come, O Messengers?" (31) They replied, "We have been sent to a sinful people (32) That we may send upon them stones of clay, (33) They are transgressors in the presence of your Lord". (34) We saved the believers among them, (35) But We found in it only one household of those who had surrendered themselves, (36) And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. (37) And in Moses (was another Sign): Behold, We sent him to Pharaoh, with authority manifest. (38) But he turned his back, he and his courtiers, and said, "This is a sorcerer or a madman." (39) We seized him and his army and threw them into the sea. He himself was to be blamed. (40) And in 'Aad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind. (41) that left nothing it came upon, except that it was ashes. (42) And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time." (43) They transgressed against the command of their Lord. So a blast of sound struck them and they were unable to do anything but stare. (44) And neither stand up nor defend themselves. (45) And the people of Nuh before, surely they were a transgressing people. (46)
