Hizb 53
Juz 27
Has the story of Abraham's honoured guests come to you? (24) When they entered upon him and said, "[We greet you with] peace." He answered, "[And upon you] peace, [you are] a people unknown. (25) Then he turned quietly to his household, and brought forth a fat [roasted] calf, (26) And placed it near them; he said, "Will you not eat?" (27) And he felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy. (28) Then his wife came forward, crying and beating her brow. She said, "I am surely a barren, old woman." (29) They said: Even so saith thy Lord. Lo! He is the Wise, the Knower. (30) ۞ He said: what then is your errand! O ye sent ones! (31) They said, "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin;- (32) to let loose upon them stone-hard blows of chastisement, (33) Marked by your Lord for those who waste their substance." (34) We saved the believers among them, (35) But We did not find therein save a (single) house of those who submitted (the Muslims). (36) We left therein evidence for those who fear the painful torment. (37) There is another sign in Moses: We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. (38) In response, he turned away along with his army and said, “He is a magician or a madman.” (39) So We took him and his hosts, and dumped them into the sea, while he was to be blamed. (40) There is also a Sign for you in (the story of) Ad, when We let loose upon them an ominous wind (41) It left not aught whereon it came but it made it as matter decayed. (42) And in the tribe of Thamud when it was told to them, “Enjoy for a while.” (43) But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord: So the stunning noise (of an earthquake) seized them, even while they were looking on. (44) They were unable even to stand up or protect themselves. (45) So were the People of Noah before them for they wickedly transgressed. (46)
