Hizb 53
Juz 27
Have you heard the story of Abraham's honored guests? (24) When they came to him, they said: "Peace." He answered: "Peace." They were a people he did not recognise. (25) Then he went apart unto his housefolk so that they brought a fatted calf; (26) And placing it before them said: "Won't you eat?" (27) [And when he saw that the guests would not eat,] he became apprehensive of them; [but] they said, "Fear not" - and gave him the glad tiding of [the birth of] a son who would be endowed with deep knowledge. (28) Then his wife came up in great grief, and she struck her face and said: An old barren woman! (29) They said, 'So says thy Lord; He is the All-wise, the All-knowing.' (30) ۞ Abraham said: “Envoys (of Allah), what is your errand?” (31) They answered: "Behold, we have been sent unto a people lost in sin, (32) So as to let loose clods of clay on them (33) marked with thy Lord for the prodigal. (34) Then We evacuated there from all the believers (35) but We found only one Muslim house. (36) And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. (37) And in Moosa, when We sent him with a clear proof towards Firaun. (38) But he turned away with his supporters and said," A magician or a madman." (39) We therefore seized him and his army and threw them into the sea, while he was blaming himself. (40) And in (the tribe of) A'ad (there is a portent) when we sent the fatal wind against them. (41) It spared naught that it reached, but made it (all) as dust. (42) And in Samood: When it was said to them: Enjoy yourselves for a while. (43) In response they rebelled against their Lord’s command, so the thunderbolt seized them whilst they were watching. (44) Then they could not even stand (on their feet), nor could they help themselves. (45) So were the People of Noah before them for they wickedly transgressed. (46)
