Hizb 53
Juz 27
Has the story reached thee, of the honoured guests of Abraham? (24) When they came to him and said, “Peace”; he answered, “Peace”; and thought, “These people are not familiar.” (25) Then he turned away privately unto his household, and brought a calf fatted. (26) and he laid it before them saying, 'Will you not eat?' (27) He felt afraid of them; but they said: "Have no fear," and gave him the good news of a wise son. (28) (Sarah) his wife came with an exclamation and clasped her face, and said: 'Surely, I am a barren old woman' (29) They said: “So has your Lord said (that you shall have a boy). Surely He is Most Wise, All-Knowing.” (30) ۞ Abraham asked, "What is your errand, O messengers?" (31) They said, “We have been sent towards a guilty nation.” (32) That we may send down upon them stone of clay, (33) “That are kept marked, with your Lord, for the transgressors.” (34) Then We brought forth such as were therein of the believers. (35) but We found only one Muslim house. (36) And so We left therein a message for those who fear the grievous suffering [which awaits all evildoers]. (37) AND IN [the story of Pharaoh and] Moses, too, [We left the same message: for] when We sent him unto Pharaoh with [Our] manifest authority, (38) but he turned his back, with his court, saying, 'A sorcerer, or a man possessed!' (39) We seized him and his hosts, and cast them all into the sea: and [none but Pharaoh] himself was to blame [for what happened]. (40) And in (the tribe of) A'ad (there is a portent) when we sent the fatal wind against them. (41) which spared nothing of what it came upon, but caused [all of] it to become like bones dead and decayed. (42) And also in Thamood, when it was said to them, 'Take your enjoyment for a while!' (43) But in their pride they turn away from the commandment of their Lord and the thunderbolt struck them whilst they were looking; (44) for they were unable even to rise, and could not defend themselves. (45) And the people of Nuh before, surely they were a transgressing people. (46)
